Catherine Green has been established for four years producing handmade cards and bespoke wedding stationery. From the outset all new business came from recommendations, however Catherine has recently exhibited at a number of wedding and craft fairs and has expanded her range to include stitched cards and textile pieces.

Velvet has been a key material used to create a series of new pieces with strong colour combinations and machine stitching, based on abstract designs inspired by flowers and garden scenes. The velvet is initially hand dyed to give a rich foundation on which screen printing and stenciling are then used to give further detail and dimension. Machine stitching using a variety of threads and textures adds the fine detail and completes the design.
