creative consultation projects offer imaginative ways of involving
communities in having a say in local decision-making, and in
exploring solutions to local issues. |

of Moorside estate worked with an artist to develop a design
theme and decorative features for the new Home Zone. The arts
work has provided Housing officers, architects and engineers
with a vehicle for consulting the community about a scheme which has
radically change the estate. |

Brackenhall and Chickenley estates, Housing Services asked Loca
to run practical consultation activities which would enable
residents to develop and prioritise ideas for environmental
improvements. The resulting design proposals were fed back to
the community for people to respond to and endorse, thereby
building consensus and ownership. |

groups worked with artists who helped empower them to be able to
consult with their wider community. Residents in Shelley
and Emley used creative methods to consult with village
residents about the development of a skate park and the use of
their village hall. |
