Loca's creative consultation projects offer imaginative ways of involving communities in having a say in local decision-making, and in exploring solutions to local issues.
residents of Moorside estate worked with an artist to develop a design theme and decorative features for the new Home Zone. The arts work has provided Housing officers, architects and engineers with a vehicle for consulting the community about a scheme which has radically change the estate.
on Brackenhall and Chickenley estates, Housing Services asked Loca to run practical consultation activities which would enable residents to develop and prioritise ideas for environmental improvements. The resulting design proposals were fed back to the community for people to respond to and endorse, thereby building consensus and ownership.
local community groups worked with artists who helped empower them to be able to consult with their wider community.  Residents in Shelley and Emley used creative methods to consult with village residents about the development of a skate park and the use of their village hall.
